Nissan issued a recall for its X‑Trail SUV. The recall covers a defect in the steering column that could affect handling. A 2025 model in metallic grey is listed for sale online at about AU$45,000. The 2026 version features built‑in Google tech and an off‑road package. Auto Express reported that the upgrades appear subtle on the road. Nissan says replacement parts will be provided at no cost.

The company also unveiled the Tekton SUV targeted at Indian and African markets. Is set for production at Nissan’s Japanese plant for overseas sales for overseas markets. The debut in South Africa is expected soon.
