Josh Worrell, Adelaide Crows forward, who is a promising player, was in a minor crash that occurred Friday before training session for the next Gold Coast match.
The accident hurt a involved pedestrian, who police then took to the hospital.
Worrell was not taken into custody at the scene of the incident.
Teammates told reporters on the sidelines Worrell seemed upset after the crash.
Police now investigate the incident as described, and have released a statement to the press.
The club has indicated they will check if Worrell can play on the field against Gold Coast, pending medical clearance, if cleared, and will evaluate the decision shortly.
