The Rugby Football Union intends to offer England head coach Steve Borthwick a contract extension. The proposed deal would retain him as head coach beyond the 2027 Rugby World Cup and through the 2028 Six Nations.
Borthwick would remain in charge of England at each tournament under the proposed agreement. His tenure as head coach would continue after the next men's Rugby World Cup, and then through England's Six Nations campaign in the year that followed.
The extension would keep him in the role after the 2028 tournament had ended.
