Jacob Coxon, the alignment lead at Anthropic, has stepped down. He issued a warning that artificial intelligence poses serious risks.
Coxon stated there is more than a 10 percent chance that AI could cause all humans to die by the next decade. He characterised ongoing AI development as gambling with human lives.
Coxon described the technology beyond control. His departure has attracted notice. The resignation follows his warnings about grave AI risks.
