A plane from Air Canada veered off the taxiway at Montreal-Trudeau Airport on July 10. It touched down, before drifting onto the grass and ended up off the runway. Officials shut that strip down promptly. Nobody was injured in the mishap, despite how jarring it seemed.
That block stopped takeoffs and landings for an extended period. Cleanup crews brought equipment to the area. Others inspected the runway for damage. Later that day, aircraft were back in the air once the strip was back in service.
