Technicians left a 33-centimeter work lamp within the wing of a Qantas Airbus A380. The ATSB disclosed that the jet flew for two days with the work light inside before anyone discovered it. The 33-centimeter device kept in the wing during those trips as the Qantas plane flew.
The Qantas Airbus A380 travelled to Texas and back while the tool remained inside the wing. Engineers left the lamp inside the jet wing during maintenance work. The plane carried out its flights to Texas and back over two days before someone spotted the work light in the wing.
