World Space Week 2026 is taking place from October 4 to 10 under the theme "Rocket Revolution," built around how falling launch costs could bring space within reach of more countries and organisations. Google celebrated the week with a dedicated Doodle, while Adafruit got involved with the week.
The European Space Agency joined forces with Pokemon GO to offer a limited-time Astronaut Pikachu to players during the week. Katara also joined activities connected to the event. World Space Week is the largest annual space event on Earth, marked in more than 90 countries.
