Senegal federation chief Pape Thiaw stated to reporters before the World Cup group match that his side has to step up against Iraq. He the match feels like a final for both teams and a weak showing could see Senegal exit early.
Thiaw recalled to the squad the quality that won the African championship. He called on players to tighten defense, finish chances and cautioned that Iraq is a tough opponent.
