Spencer Matthews has clocked a personal best marathon time of 2:49, with Runner's World reporting his training was built around maths, science, and consistency. The result marks a strong performance for the British television personality now competing as an endurance athlete.

The time stands as a genuine benchmark in amateur marathon running, and his approach to training has been noted for its structured, analytical style. Rather than relying on feel or instinct alone, Matthews leaned heavily on structured planning.

Matthews is married to Vogue Williams, who has drawn coverage of her own this week after responding to critics. Those critics accused her of breaking maternity norms by going out with her one-month-old baby. Williams spoke out in response to the backlash.
