Governor Newsom signed new laws to reduce ICE operations in the state. The laws include bans on police using electrically conductive gloves and support measures for immigrant groups. These measures follow a incident where a young girl's body was discovered in a trash bin, leading to the arrest of her mother. The new laws aim to address concerns about ICE operations and assist immigrant groups.
