Preston North End has parted ways with head coach Paul Heckingbottom. The club made the decision public on Sunday. Preston is currently in the drop zone of the Championship after losing six of its first seven games in the current league schedule. Heckingbottom was brought in at Preston last year. He had previously managed Sheffield United. The team will turn to a Premier League cult hero as caretaker boss. The decision arrives after a poor start to the campaign.
