A beluga whale was transferred from Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario to a Chicago aquarium. It died weeks later. The move took place before the loss.
Marineland also sent four dolphins and two belugas to an aquarium in Spain. Now the park has no remaining dolphins. Only belugas stay at the park.
The transfer left the grounds much quieter. Staff inspect the water and health conditions. Visitors notice a smaller number of animals. The park’s visitor count decreased.
The wooded surroundings have not changed. The water continues to be strong. The park houses only a few belugas. Visitors see fewer animal performances. The water stays clear.
