FDNY fire marshals are currently investigating a possible blaze that needed three alarms. It burned through a blocks-long scrapyard in Staten Island. The location was at Rector Street and Castleton Avenue. Dramatic videos were shared online, capturing flames and smoke rising high above the site.
In a separate incident, a fire broke out at an auto body repair shop in Staten Island. Fire marshals have not stated whether these two incidents are connected. No additional details have been released as yet.
