Ed Harris complained early on about his limited part in the series in Dutton Ranch, the Yellowstone spin-off. He thought the role was pointless and demanded to quit. Harris told Variety, 'with frustration Get me the f- out of here' as he walked away. He later chose to return for Season 2 to return for Season 2. The show’s boss adjusted the story and gave his character more to do. That change prompted Harris choose to stay. Deadline now says he will reprise the part.
