Governor Kathy Hochul has named Attorney General Letitia James to take charge of the Cornell gang-rape investigation. This move follows the 2024 determination not to prosecute, as revealed in recently unlocked documents. The documents contain Jane Doe's account from text messages. The governor ordered the attorney general to supervise the investigation, citing the requirement for a comprehensive review. The case had previously been under the supervision of the district attorney.
