Professor Clare Wright to lead National Museum of Australia Council
www.latrobe.edu.auClare Wright was seen at historians’ forums, as an author and historian, recognized for The Forgotten Rebels of Eureka (2013), which portrays the Eureka Rebellion from women's perspectives. She has also written and presented history programs for ABC, such as Utopia Girls and The War That Changed Us. Wright holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne, where she leads public history initiatives and has served on the National Museum of Australia Council since 2022. 2020 saw Wright awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia. for contributions to literature and historical research.

In 2020, Clare was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in the Australia Day Honours list for “services to literature and to historical research”.
