Caleb Douglas made his NFL debut on Sunday. He and Chris Bell began the game at receiver for the Miami Dolphins in the opener against the Las Vegas Raiders. Douglas looked shaky at first. Later, Malik Willis found him for a 25-yard gain. The Dolphins kept their most veteran receiver out of the opener. That left the receiving duties to a young group. The team used a youthful receiving group. That group drew attention as possible waiver-wire adds in advance of the opener. The young group took center stage. Analysts also said the trio could make history among rookie wideouts. Douglas's only reception was recorded for 25 yards.
