Role Overview: Collision Center/Service Porter at Mercedes-Benz of Tyler
As a Collision Center/Service Porter at Mercedes-Benz of Tyler, you will be responsible for a diverse range of duties that are crucial to the daily operations of our collision center and service department. You will be the face of Mercedes-Benz of Tyler for many of our service customers, playing a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This position requires interaction with a wide array of individuals, including customers, service technicians, collision and service managers, parts specialists, cashiers, and sales team members. Your contributions will directly impact the seamless flow of vehicles and the overall customer experience at Mercedes-Benz of Tyler.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Transportation: Provide exceptional customer service by picking up customers from their desired locations and delivering them back after service at Mercedes-Benz of Tyler is complete.
- Vehicle Logistics: Efficiently transport vehicles to and from sublet vendors and customer locations as directed by the service and collision center management at Mercedes-Benz of Tyler.
- Vehicle Staging and Movement: Manage vehicle flow by moving cars from the initial intake area to designated storage areas, and strategically move vehicles within the collision center to optimize production efficiency and meet Mercedes-Benz of Tyler’s high service standards.
- Maintain Shop Appearance: Uphold the professional image of Mercedes-Benz of Tyler by ensuring the production and paint areas are clean, organized, and presentable. This includes sweeping floors, removing trash and discarded parts, and performing other tasks to maintain a pristine environment.
- General Facility Upkeep: Contribute to the overall cleanliness and orderliness of Mercedes-Benz of Tyler’s facilities by maintaining offices, storage areas, and the exterior grounds of the collision center.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, particularly those concerning the proper disposal of hazardous waste, ensuring Mercedes-Benz of Tyler operates responsibly and ethically.
- Warranty Parts Management: Carefully save and tag all warranty-related parts for proper storage and processing, following Mercedes-Benz of Tyler’s procedures and guidelines.
