O’Hara’s ascent through the ranks of sales and management is a testament to his dedication and business acumen. This expertise culminated in a significant milestone in 1999 when his own dealership achieved 2,000 unit sales of new and used vehicles in a single year.
Before taking the helm at Mercedes-Benz of Hoffman Estates in January 2020, Bill O’Hara held diverse leadership positions within Zeigler Auto Group, demonstrating his adaptability and leadership capabilities. He initially joined Zeigler in 2013 as General Manager of BMW of Orland Park. Following Zeigler’s expansion in 2015, acquiring MINI of Orland Park, Zeigler Nissan of Orland Park, and INFINITI of Orland Park, O’Hara’s responsibilities grew. He was promoted to VP and GM of Operations in Orland Park, overseeing the regional operations until December 2019.
A key aspect of Zeigler Auto Group that resonates with O’Hara is the company’s commitment to internal promotion. He experienced this firsthand at the Orland Park locations and is keen to foster the same growth-oriented environment at Mercedes-Benz of Hoffman Estates and Jaguar Land Rover Schaumburg, also under his leadership.

A Michigan native, Bill enjoys spending quality time with his family, including his grandson. His personal interests include golfing, boating, and a 25-year tradition of professional snowmobile drag racing with his son.
