2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350: Feature-Rich Luxury Sedan

The 2010 Mercedes-benz E-class E350 stands out as a compelling luxury sedan, offering a blend of comfort, technology, and performance. As standard, the E350 is well-equipped to provide a premium driving experience.

Rolling on 17-inch wheels and featuring a standard sunroof, the exterior of the E350 is subtly elegant. Inside, drivers will appreciate the power tilt-telescoping steering wheel and power front seats with memory, ensuring a personalized driving position. The cabin is upholstered in MB-Tex premium vinyl, which provides a quality feel, while dual-zone automatic climate control maintains comfortable temperatures for both driver and passenger. Auto-dimming mirrors further enhance convenience and safety.

Technologically, the 2010 E350 incorporates the COMAND electronic interface system, managing many of the car’s functions. Bluetooth connectivity is standard for hands-free calling, and an eight-speaker stereo system with an in-dash six-CD changer and auxiliary audio jack caters to various audio sources.

For those considering the coupe version of the E350, there are some distinctions. The E350 Coupe boasts a panoramic sunroof and upgraded leather upholstery. Sport seats add a more sculpted feel, and it features a single-CD player.

Stepping up to the E550 model brings significant enhancements, especially in performance. The E550 replaces the E350’s engine with a more powerful V8 and adds an air suspension for a smoother ride. An upgraded braking system provides enhanced stopping power, and leather upholstery and heated seats further elevate the luxury. The E550 coupe distinguishes itself with 18-inch wheels, a sport body kit, a sport suspension, and shift paddles for a more engaging driving experience, though it removes the heated seats found in the sedan version.

To further personalize the E350 and E550 sedans, Mercedes-Benz offered Sport packages. These packages included 18-inch wheels and a sport-tuned suspension for sharper handling. A sport steering wheel and unique interior trim pieces completed the sporty aesthetic.

Several Premium packages were also available to enhance the features of all E350 and E550 models. The Premium 1 Package included desirable upgrades like a hard-drive-based navigation system, voice commands for easier control, and a rearview camera for improved parking visibility. Heated front seats were added to the E350 sedan and all coupe models, while ventilated front seats were included for all sedans. A power rear sunshade increased rear passenger comfort, and the audio system was upgraded to a Harman Kardon surround-sound system with digital music storage, HD radio, satellite radio, and iPod/MP3 player interface.

Building upon the Premium 1 Package, the Premium 2 package added adaptive bi-xenon headlights and adaptive high-beam assist for enhanced nighttime visibility. LED daytime running lamps added a modern touch, and the sedan version received a power trunk closer. Keyless ignition/entry added convenience, and ventilated seats were extended to the coupes with this package.

For added safety in the sedan, the Driver Assistance package incorporated a blind-spot warning system, adaptive cruise control, and a lane-departure warning system, all features designed to aid the driver and prevent accidents.

Beyond packages, stand-alone options for the sedan allowed for further customization. These included parking sensors, an infrared night-vision display for enhanced visibility in low-light conditions, a panoramic sunroof, and split-folding rear seats for increased cargo versatility. A rear-seat entertainment system was available for passenger enjoyment, and expanded leather upholstery and a multicontour driver seat with massage function provided ultimate luxury and comfort.

At the top of the range, the E63 AMG model incorporated all the E550’s equipment and amplified the performance. It featured an even larger V8 engine, a sport transmission, adjustable drive settings to tailor the driving experience, an adaptive sport suspension, high-performance brakes, and a sport steering wheel. The E63 AMG’s Premium 1 package was streamlined to include only the navigation system, rearview camera, and voice commands, as much of the other equipment was already standard on this high-performance model. The Premium 2 package and most of the stand-alone options remained available for the E63 AMG. For the ultimate performance enthusiasts, the AMG Performance package added 19-inch wheels, a limited-slip differential, even sportier suspension tuning, and a leather/Alcantara steering wheel, maximizing the E63 AMG’s track-ready capabilities.

In conclusion, the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350 offered a strong foundation of luxury and features, with options and higher trim levels like the E550 and E63 AMG providing a wide spectrum of choices to suit different preferences and needs in the luxury sedan market.
